Delete Your Account

Your vault, your decision. Here is exactly how to delete your VaultMind account, and what happens to your data when you do.

How to request deletion

You can delete your VaultMind account in either of two ways:

  • In the app: open Settings, choose Account, then select Delete Account and confirm. Deletion starts immediately.
  • By email: send a request to privacy@biggermindgroup.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject 'Delete my VaultMind account'. We will verify the request and confirm once deletion is complete.

Before deleting, consider exporting any documents you still need — deletion is permanent and your vault contents cannot be recovered afterwards.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove your personal data and vault contents from our active systems, including:

  • Your account profile and login credentials.
  • All stored documents and files in your vault.
  • All identity records and private notes.
  • All expiry dates, reminders, and categories.
  • All family vault spaces and their contents.
  • AI-generated organisation data derived from your documents.

Deletion from active systems is completed promptly after your request, and residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days as backups rotate.

What may be retained

We retain a minimal set of records only where the law requires it or where it is necessary for security:

  • Transaction and subscription records required for tax, accounting, and financial compliance.
  • Records of fraud prevention or security incidents linked to the account, where retention is necessary to protect our users and services.
  • A record that a deletion request was made and fulfilled, so we can demonstrate compliance.

Retained records are kept only as long as the relevant legal obligation requires, are limited to the minimum necessary, and never include the contents of your vault.
