Your saved vault is kept in the app's private storage on your device. Original files and previews are encrypted. AI is a separate online operation: relevant content is transmitted through our secure gateway when you ask Vi to process it. Optional encrypted backups go to your iCloud account.

Your vault lives on your device and can be locked with Face ID or Touch ID, on top of your device's built-in data protection. On supported Apple devices, VayMind encrypts your backup before it reaches iCloud, and keeps its key separately in iCloud Keychain. We never sell your data or use your documents for advertising.

On supported Apple devices, encrypted iCloud backup starts on by default when iCloud is available. VayMind encrypts the vault on your device first, and the backup key is stored separately in iCloud Keychain. You can turn backup off, back up manually, restore, or delete the iCloud copy in Settings.

Supabase handles account sign-in and operational subscription, usage and security records. Apple processes purchases and RevenueCat helps verify your subscription entitlement. Your saved vault is not a server-hosted document library, but relevant content passes through our gateway for AI processing. Encrypted backups use your own iCloud account on supported devices.

Vi uses OpenAI through VayMind's authenticated gateway to read selected document images or text, suggest filing and extract useful details. Chat and letters use your request with relevant saved context or selected evidence. Results return to your app; AI does not run entirely on-device. Check every important date, amount, suggested link and draft against the original. The Privacy Policy explains processing and retention.

Anything that matters: passports and IDs, contracts, certificates, insurance policies, warranties, receipts, medical letters, property documents, and more. Secure categories for identity, finance, property, health, and travel keep everything organised, and private notes cover the details that are not documents at all.

VayMind detects expiry dates in documents you add (or you can set them manually) and notifies you well before passports, visas, insurance policies, and subscriptions run out. You control reminder timing in Settings.

The family vault lets you manage documents for your household — partners, children, and dependants — in clearly separated profiles, all stored on your device. You should only store records for family members you have the right to manage.

Subscriptions are billed through your app store account. To manage or cancel, open your device's subscription settings (on iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions), select VayMind, and choose the option you need. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends.
