FenMind

Support

Answers to the most common FenMind questions, and a direct line to a person when you need one.

Do I need an account?

Yes. FenMind uses an email address and a password, so your planner is kept in your account and is there on any device you sign in on. Once you are signed in, FenMind keeps working without a signal.

What is free, and what does a subscription add?

Writing tasks, building and running routines, the pace check, reminders, exporting your planner and deleting your account are all free. A subscription adds speaking instead of typing, and a model reading your sentence into a title, a time and steps. Without one, FenMind reads what you type on your phone, with its own rules.

How does voice capture work?

With Pro, tap + to capture and turn on Allow OpenAI for this session, then tap the microphone and speak. What you said comes back as fields you can check and change before saving. Nothing is recorded until you tap, a clip under a second is never sent, and the recording is deleted from your phone once FenMind has finished with it. Your phone asks for microphone access the first time you record; you can change that later in your phone's Settings.

Can I use FenMind without sharing captures with AI?

Yes. Leave Allow OpenAI for this session off and keep typing, editing and saving tasks. You can turn AI sharing off in FenMind's Settings to stop future requests. This permission resets when the app restarts or you sign out. A request already sent cannot be recalled. The privacy policy explains what goes to OpenAI and how it is handled.

It says it didn't hear anything. What now?

That happens when a clip is under a second, or has no words in it — a quiet voice, or the phone too far away. Tap the microphone and try again, or type it instead. If FenMind says something went wrong rather than that it heard nothing, check your connection and try again.

What is the pace check?

Every task carries a time. Today adds up what is planned and compares it with what you usually get through. When the day fits, it says so. When it doesn't, it shows you the numbers and leaves the decision with you — it never stops you adding a task. You can change the focused time FenMind starts from in Settings, under Your pace.

Why has a task moved to Not scheduled?

A task you did not get to on an earlier day moves to Not scheduled on Today, instead of piling up as overdue. Nothing is counted against you. Tap the arrow beside it to move it back to today whenever you want it.

How do routines work?

A routine is a list of steps you do the same way each time, and FenMind takes you through it one step at a time. To have one offered on Today until you have done it, open the routine, choose Edit routine, and pick Every day. Routines set to Only when I open it wait in Routines.

My reminders aren't arriving.

Reminders are sent by your phone at the time you gave a task. Check that Remind me at the time is on in FenMind's Settings, and that notifications for FenMind are allowed in your phone's Settings — FenMind shows a note with a shortcut when they are turned off. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can also hold notifications back.

Does FenMind work offline?

Yes, once you are signed in. Changes save on your phone first. While you are offline, Today shows a quiet line saying so, and everything catches up with your account when you are back online.

How do I export my planner?

Open Settings with the gear on Today, then choose Export my planner under Your data. You get a readable file of your tasks, routines and pace to keep wherever you like.

How do iCloud backups work?

On iPhone or iPad, open iCloud backup in Settings and turn on Back up to iCloud. This optional feature is free and uses your private Apple account and storage. FenMind keeps up to seven daily copies while the app is open; check the last saved time. Recovery adds missing items and keeps your current edits and pace. Use the same FenMind and Apple accounts to find your copies. Turning backup off or signing out stops new copies but keeps existing ones; Remove my iCloud copies deletes them from the Apple account on the device.

I've subscribed, but voice capture is still locked.

Tap the microphone to open the subscription screen, then tap Already subscribed? Restore it — signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose FenMind. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

How do I delete my account?

In Settings, under Account, choose Delete my account and data and confirm twice. Your account and synced planner are removed straight away. If you used iCloud backup, remove any copies the app cannot reach through your Apple iCloud storage settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. The FenMind Delete Account page has the details, including how to ask by email.
